A Conversation with George Church: Synthetic Biology and Personal
Genomics

Free Finale desserts with a true genomics pioneer!

Are you interested in hearing about a field of biology that may
transform the way we look at and understand human genomes in the years
to come?
Have you ever wondered how academic science and the private
biotechnology industry intersect in the real world?
Do you enjoy savoring free Finale desserts?

The Harvard College Undergraduate Research Association (HCURA) invites
you to join your classmates in Adams Conservatory from 8-9 PM on
Wednesday, April 30, for a conversation with a true scientific
pioneer. Come enjoy free Finale desserts and meet George Church, one
of the co-initiators of the Human Genome Project, a pioneer in the
fields of molecular genetics and genomics, and adviser to or co-
founder of over 20 companies. Professor Church, who teaches at Harvard
Medical School and MIT, will also be discussing his latest research in
personal genomics and synthetic biology.

This is HCURA's last faculty talk/journal club of the year, and it's
one you won't want to miss!

See you there!

Sincerely,

Charles Liu
