[Parentsgroup-list] event space for small bday party at Harvard or in Cambridge?

As far as I know, there is no official way to reserve rooms for personal
functions. However, if you are willing to be flexible about the rules,
you can probably reserve rooms in academic buildings or undergrad houses
for a more legitimate purpose and use them for your party.

Fr example, if you have a friend or colleague (or someone on this list?)
who is a resident (or non-res) tutor at one of the undergrad houses,
they may be able to reserve a common room in the house for your use -
although it would probably have to be reserved under the guise of a more
official event, and guests would need to be let into the building. It
might be enough for the friend to host the party.

You might also check with the public libraries to see if you can rent
out their activity rooms.

good luck,
alison
