We're relocating, so our son's wonderful nanny is available beginning this
summer. She's been taking care of my son in her home since September when he
was 9 months old and has been just extraordinary. He loves her and has
really blossomed; she's been fantastic in helping him adjust to being away
from me during the day, become more comfortable around other children and in
new situations, nap consistently, and communicate with increasing clarity.
Her background as a teacher shows, as she is always teaching him new skills.
She's been incredibly flexible with my sometimes crazy student schedule and
totally responsive to my direction for my son. Her home is a great
environment, with tons of books and toys and a dedicated playroom and space
for my son to sleep separately. It's also right up the hill from the Victory
Field playground and walking distance from the Watertown Library, so they're
out and about all the time. She has a very friendly, outgoing 13 month old
daughter who's been great for my son; she grins at him every time I drop him
off and is always raring to interact, which has made a world of difference
for my son's comfort level around other children. I've pasted some
information from her below, along with her email address, so you can contact
her directly if you're interested. I'm also happy to answer any questions or
talk further - the best way to reach me is erica.j.h.kraus at gmail.com.
Thanks and best,
Stay at home mom/former teacher available to care for a toddler full time in
my home in Watertown beginning in May. I am available 30-40 hrs/week, and
can provide excellent references. I have access to many parks, beaches and
pools. I am very active and love going to libraries and museums. I have a
13 month old daughter who is very active and friendly.
