There are two B&Bs not far from campus (Around the corner from each
other on Cambridge St.). They are both nice and friendly, but not cheap.
My parents have stayed in both and enjoyed both.
A less expensive and more unusual place is the (I think dorm-style)
housing at the Episcopal Divinity School:

Subject: [Parentsgroup-list] Suggestions for guests
To: parentsgroup-list at lists.hcs.harvard.edu
We are having a family of 5 (3 adults, 2 children) visiting us in November.
They asked if we could make any suggestions of places for them to stay.
They are open & flexible to unusual accommodations (i.e., housing exchange,
etc...). Since we are new to the area ourselves, I am not sure what to
recommend. Does anyone know of any little-known great or
off-the-beaten-path places to stay?
Thanks so much,
