Congrats on the crawler!! We found a very comprehensive checklist for babyproofing in "What to Expect the First Year" book and found the most items in one place at Babies R Us. Since we don't have a car, fewer trips are always welcome.

Our boy kept falling over on his head when first sitting up and even though we have carpet, we wanted a more pleasant floor experience than banging his head on crappy apartment carpeting on top of a concrete floor. So, we got him some of those foam floor blocks. They can be customized to your floor space and each piece can be removed after spitting up, so we don't have to clean or take up the whole floor. You can buy one new - OR ask if anyone has one on listservs. If you aren't on ToyCycleMassachusetts, consider signing up. It's a great yahoo group and we have both received stuff (for free) and given stuff away there. We got our floor at a yard sale for $5.
Good luck! Here is a link to a foam floor so you can see it:

Jenni,

I can only second Gillian on California Baby! My daughter also has eczema and I have tried many products, of which this line works best on her skin. And no eye redness either.

However, as for a cheaper alternative I do like the Aveeno baby wash, too. I know it does not have most of the "bad" products in it that are in the common brands, mainly no perfumes (which make my daughter's skin very rashy), however, I don't know off hand now whether it's actually all natural (which I don't think it is).

As for your other question: the woman ended up remaining on the list.

Dear parents,

Our daughter just started to crawl. Consequently, I started wondering about=
two things:

1. How to childproof=A0our apartment? =

Those how have already done this, can you perhaps recommend any good shop, =
website,=A0etc, where=A0we=A0could=A0buy all the necessary products and/or =
also get=A0useful tips.

2. How to make her crawling on our wooden floor=A0more pleasant and=A0safer=
. In this regard we were thinking to=A0cover the floor=A0with several=A0pla=
stic foam carpets that are=A0usually=A0used=A0in, e.g., aerobics classes.=
=A0
Does anybody know=A0where we could=A0buy them?=A0I would also appreciate a =
hint about any=A0other, perhaps better, solution. =

Many thanks in advance.
All the best,
Eva=A0 - mother of 6=A0months old Ana Marija=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0=A0 =
