I know of two indoor playspaces--KidSpace in Belmont, and Together in Motion in Arlington. Both have websites. I have been to both and think Kidspace is much more versatile for different ages and different interests. Together in Motion is mostly a big room with a lot of mats. Kidspace is a collectively run center that everyone pays to participate in each year, and then the members do volunteer hours. Together in Motion is a pay each time place.

Of course, Cambridge has great parks, and the Center for Families has drop-in playgroups organized all over town. Information can be found online. The libraries have reading groups and some have singalongs. Stella-Bella Toys in Inman Square and on Mass Ave (two different locations) each host sing-alongs and might have other activities as well. Another resource is to get on the Cambridge or Somerville Moms listservs.
