I received this announcement for a preschool in Watertown
with space available. It's right near Watertown Sq., which
is a little ways from Cambridge but might be worth

I've heard a lot of great things about it on the Watertown
moms' e-mail list, although I don't have personal experience
with the place.

Russell Cooperative Preschool

For those of you who are still looking for preschool spots
for your almost 3, and 4 year olds, starting in the fall:

Russell Cooperative Preschool on 35 Church Street in
Watertown still has a few more openings for girls (there is
a waitlist for boys) starting in the fall of 2007. The
school runs a play based curriculum, has a high
adult-to-child ratio, sunny and spacious classrooms and
playground, an experienced and committed staff, and a
community of involved parents. Children can enroll for 3, 4
or 5 days a week. The day runs from 8.30 am to 1.45pm.

The school was founded in 1975 by a group of parents wanting
to provide quality preschool education in a warm,
supportive, and open atmosphere. Recognizing that play is
essential for young children, Russell offers a rich variety
of experiences to allow and encourage social, emotional, and
creative growth.

We (parents of a 4 year old boy starting his second year in
the fall, and an 18 month old girl who will hopefully enroll
next fall) especially love the calm and organized atmosphere
at the school, the large playground, the large amount of
outside playtime, and the home-made, organic, healthy snacks.

Please call the school at 617-926-0511 or visit
