Let the countdown begin! The application for the Cheng Fellowship
 closes in less than *one week* - have you started your application
yet? Strong applicants will reflect deeply on the problem and communities
they know about, care about, and are committed to. They will have a working
hypothesis about how they might bring about positive social change, and
they have the resolve to see their efforts through. Cheng Fellows benefit

*What is the Cheng Fellowship? *
The Fellowship is designed as a springboard for students actively preparing
to lead social innovation within and across government, NGO, grassroots,
and/or business contexts. Fellows move forward individual social change
projects and engage in a curated sequence of weekly co-curricular sessions,
individualized coaching, and immersion learning designed to accelerate the
thoughtful development and evolution of their projects. Fellows are
eligible to receive up to $30,000 in financial support for their continued

*Who should apply? *
People with a specific problem they care deeply about solving, an idea
about how they will get there, and a personal commitment to make it happen.
Successful applicants are prepared to develop, refine, and advance their
project in a serious and intentional way to bring about positive social
change while in school. They are highly focused and self-motivated, excited
to grapple with complexity and feedback, and committed to pursuing their
efforts after graduation and beyond.

*What are the eligibility requirements?*
*HKS*: Applicants for the 2018 Cheng Fellow cohort must be Master’s
candidates graduating from an HKS degree program in Spring 2019. This is a
one-year intensive Fellowship experience.

*Harvard College*: Applicants for the 2018 Cheng Fellow cohort must be
current sophomores/rising juniors at the College. College Fellows
participate in a two-year Fellowship experience, providing students with an
extended runway for post-graduate planning, individualized support, and
deepened community.

All applicants must be available to attend weekly evening co-curricular
sessions (one night/week) on HKS’ campus for the duration of the 2018-19
academic year.
