Hi Harvard Students,
Think you’re sly? Prove it at the The Google Games Cambridge on Saturday,
April 22nd. This year’s mission will ask you to embrace your inner super
spy. Calling all agents to be stealth - don’t blow your cover (don’t get
burned) and join us for this year’s Google Games - shhhh! this information
At The Google Games Cambridge, agents will compete against other students
from MIT, Harvard, Brown, Tufts, UMass Amherst, Boston University,
Northeastern, and Dartmouth for victory in challenges that test your brains
and creativity to the limit! It’s a quest of fun as teams of five go head
to head in rigorous events: Coding, word association, and puzzle
competitions. If you haven’t caught on just yet, this year’s theme is “Top
Secret Mission” so make sure to throw on your best gear from your favorite
spy lab and get ready for an action packed event!

Time: 10:00am to approximately 5:00pm
Location: Google Cambridge, Kendall Square

Here’s what you’ll need to do by Wednesday, 4/12/17:
Assemble a team of five freshman, sophomore, and/or junior (first,
second, and third year undergraduate) students from your school (having a
CS background is strongly recommended).

(each team member must register individually).

Q. Can we have fewer than five members on our team?
A. We strongly recommend having the maximum number of members – any less
and you'll lose your competitive edge.
Q. Do you have to be a current student to participate?
A. Yes, you must be a freshman, sophomore, or junior (first, second or
third-year undergraduate student) currently enrolled at MIT, Harvard,
Brown, Tufts, UMass Amherst, Boston University, Northeastern, or Dartmouth.
Seniors and graduate students are not eligible to participate.
Q. Can we replace a member before the start of the event?
A. Sure. Just let us know via googlegames at google.com. Be sure to include:
the full name and email of the new team member, the full name of who is
being replaced, your school name and your team name.
Q. Should our team wear costumes?
A. Show your team's spirit however you choose: costumes, uniforms, team
dance, team flag or poster, cheer, fight song, etc. A prize will be awarded
to the team with the most spirit.
Q. Will transportation be provided?
A. We will not be offering transportation assistance this year, but we
recommend making use of public transportation to get to Google Cambridge.
Our office is located one block from the Kendall/MIT T stop on the Red Line.
Q. Will food be provided?
A. We will provide lunch, snacks and drinks. If you have any dietary
restrictions, please note this in the form and we will be sure to
Q. When will our team receive a confirmation about the Games?
A. After the registration deadline, we will reach out to confirm team
selection and provide more details. Not all registered teams will be
selected due to space limitations.
Q. Do I need to bring my own laptop?
A. It will give your team a competitive advantage to have all members work
from their own laptop in the challenges. If you don’t have your own, see if
you can borrow one from a friend. And don’t forget the charger.
