Join the Harvard Computer Society for a weeklong line-up of exciting Tech
Talks, food, and fun!
Y-Combinator (Paul Graham, co-founder)
Come out to HCS's Y Combinator Tech Talk with founder Paul Graham, along
with partner Sam Altman and YC alum!
Paul Graham is a programmer, venture capitalist, and essayist well known
for his work on Lisp, for co-founding Viaweb, and for co-founding the Y
Combinator seed capital firm. He has an AB from Cornell and a PhD in
Computer Science from Harvard.*

MongoDB is a cross-platform document-oriented database system. Classified
as a "NoSQL" database, MongoDB eschews the traditional table-based
relational database structure in favor of JSON-like documents with dynamic
schemas (MongoDB calls the format BSON), making the integration of data in
certain types of applications easier and faster.

Meteor (of meteor.js fame) (Matt DeBergalis, co-founder)
Matt DeBergalis, co-founder of Meteor, will be giving a tech talk on Friday
at noon in Maxwell Dworkin Room G115, entitled "The Design of Meteor: a new
will be talking about the architecture and design behind Meteor as well as
what it took for Meteor to become one of the most popular projects on
developers alike write top-quality web apps in a fraction of the time. At
its core is the Distributed Data Protocol. Its release was the largest in
Hacker News history.
